Rod Type Search and Rescue Camera
The LSJ-C-E rod type search and rescue camera is a high-performance life detector device designed for USAR search teams in the aftermath of earthquakes, building collapses, landslides, avalanches, and other disasters. Built for confined space exploration, it allows rescue teams to visually locate trapped victims under rubble through real-time video transmission.
After locating potential victims, the next critical step is to visually confirm human presence using the search and rescue camera. With an integrated microphone and speaker module, the device enables clear two-way communication, allowing rescuers to assess the condition of the trapped individual and understand their immediate needs for assistance and rescue.

Features
Ultra-Light Carbon Fiber Telescopic Pole
LSJ-C-E is an ultra-lightweight design, allowing a single rescuer to operate it with ease. For more complex scenarios, the control unit can be detached from the telescopic pole, enabling two rescuers to work in tandem—one managing the camera direction, and the other monitoring the live feed on the screen. The pole extends up to 3.5 meters, offering flexible reach for various rescue situations.
With its extendable pole, the search and rescue camera is ideal for inspecting hard-to-reach areas such as:
Confined voids beneath rubble or debris, by inserting the camera through narrow openings;
Elevated or high-access points, allowing visual entry through windows, cracks, or structural gaps;
Spaces behind solid structures, where rescuers can drill a small access hole and insert the camera to search for trapped individuals within hidden cavities.
SEARCH CAMERA HEAD
The LSJ-C-E is composed of a control box and four specialized search cameras, each designed for different rescue scenarios:
CAM Color Search Camera: Used to visually locate trapped individuals and establish communication to evaluate their condition and needs. Featuring 10 integrated LEDs for enhanced visibility, the camera head can rotate 90° left and right, offering a full 360° field of view.
TIC Thermal Imaging Camera: Designed to identify body heat signatures in dark, smoky, or dusty environments. It detects heat sources ranging from -20°C to 650°C, enabling fast victim detection even in zero visibility conditions.
IP68 Waterproof Camera: Ideal for submerged operations or visual inspection in wells and flooded spaces, ensuring reliable performance in water-heavy environments.
Miniature Gap Camera: With a slim 8mm diameter and 8 built-in LED lights, this camera is tailored for exploring tight, confined spaces where standard tools cannot reach.
Real-Time Voice Communication
Equipped with a two-way audio system, the device allows rescuers to not only detect and monitor sound signals from trapped individuals in real time but also communicate with them directly. This function enables rescuers to calm and reassure victims, assess their physical and emotional condition, and provide them with hope for survival. At the same time, the interaction helps gather critical information about the situation, offering strong support for making timely and informed rescue decisions.
Control Box
The 8-inch TFT LCD control box prioritizes image display, with the entire screen dedicated to the image. Its simple interface allows rescuers to quickly understand the situation. It also supports quick photo capture, video recording, and the storage and playback of detection data.
Rescue Cases
Date: February 27, 2025
Location: Panyu, Guangzhou, China
Organized by: Guangzhou Fire and Rescue Department
Overview
To improve emergency response capabilities for new energy-related fires, Guangzhou Fire and Rescue department organized a large-scale fire drill. The exercise simulated complex disaster scenarios, including underground fire spread, structural collapse, and trapped victims—requiring fast, safe, and precise rescue actions.
LSJ was invited to join this exercise, showcasing its latest life-saving technologies and search and rescue equipment.
Equipment Deployed by LSJ
LSJ-F1200 Firefighting Thermal Imaging Camera
Provided real-time thermal feedback in high-temperature, low-visibility environments, helping firefighters detect hot spots and locate trapped individuals.
LSJ-C-E Rod Type Search and Rescue Camera
Enabled rescuers to inspect deep voids, confined gaps, and collapsed areas with high-resolution video and two-way voice communication.
CAMB-V500 Box Type Search and Rescue Camera
Used for surface-level visual and audio search of collapsed structures, identifying trapped victims via thermal and visual feedback.
HXSAR-5KS Slope Stability Radar
Monitored ground movement and potential secondary hazards during structural collapse rescue operations.
YZ-120 Laser Structural Movement Telemeter
Detected structural shifts in real-time, ensuring rescuer safety during entry and extraction tasks.
All LSJ devices performed with precision and reliability under complex and high-risk conditions. The drill validated the usability, durability, and effectiveness of LSJ rescue equipment in real disaster simulations.
Applications
Earthquake Rescue
After an earthquake, collapsed buildings create complex rubble. The LSJ-C-E Rod Type Search and Rescue Camera, with its extendable pole and 360° rotating HD camera, can reach narrow gaps. Its infrared night vision allows rescuers to locate trapped victims in darkness, enabling quick and efficient rescue planning to save lives.
Mine Collapse Rescue
After a mine collapse, the environment becomes complex with poor signals and limited space. The LSJ-C-E Rod Type Search and Rescue Camera, unaffected by signal issues, uses multiple probes to detect vital signs and surrounding conditions. Its two-way audio feature allows communication with trapped miners, stabilizing their emotions and providing crucial information for rescuers to quickly locate and save them.
Landslide Rescue
Landslides can destroy buildings, causing collapses and burying people. The LSJ-C-E Rod Type Search and Rescue Camera's probe can navigate through debris and gaps, with high-definition imaging helping rescuers locate trapped individuals. Its one-touch operation feature makes it easy to record the scene, providing valuable data for adjusting rescue strategies, making operations more precise and efficient, and increasing the chances of rescuing trapped victims.
Building Collapse Rescue
After a building collapse, the structure is often unstable. The LSJ-C-E Rod Type Search and Rescue Camera's extendable probe can reach dangerous areas, while its multispectral detection and 360° observation capabilities allow for quick identification of trapped individuals. It also supports real-time voice communication, helping to reassure victims, enabling rescuers to assess their condition, and allowing for the efficient planning of rescue routes to ensure a safe and orderly operation.
