Core Capabilities

Built to See and Hear Inside a Collapse Void

A pole-mounted audio-video life detector that carries a 1080P camera, a 256 × 192 thermal sensor and a two-way voice link into gaps a rescuer cannot safely enter.

Carbon-fibre telescopic probe rod extended from 1.0 m to 3.6 m
CAPABILITY 01

1.0–3.6 m Carbon-Fibre Telescopic Reach

Twist-lock carbon-fibre sections adjust continuously from 1.0 m to 3.6 m, and a 30 cm waterproof flexible neck sits between the rod and the probe so the head turns around slab edges and corners.

  • Covers both close wall holes and deep slab voids with one rod
  • 30 cm flexible hose keeps the operator outside the danger zone
  • Anti-slip grip, wrist strap and hanging strap for one-handed reach
CAPABILITY 02

One Rod, an Interchangeable Probe Suite

Probes swap by hand with the power off. The kit is configured to mission at order and every optical probe records at 1920 × 1080.

  • Φ29 mm motorized audio/video head (Φ40 mm optional) with 10 dimmable LEDs
  • Φ8 / Φ6 mm snake-eye probe articulates 140° into drilled holes and pipe runs
  • Thermal, rotating waterproof, fixed waterproof and underwater probes on the same rod
Motorized rotating 1080P probe head with ten LED lights
Thermal image on the 8-inch terminal with glove-friendly keypad
CAPABILITY 03

256 × 192 Thermal Imaging to 650°C

The thermal intercom probe uses a 256 × 192 sensor with selectable ranges of -20–150°C, 0–450°C and 0–650°C, plus automatic maximum, minimum and center-point reading with hot/cold spot tracking.

  • Reveals body heat in smoke, dust or total darkness
  • Six or more palettes: search and rescue, firefighting, detection, white-hot, black-hot
  • Finds living victims and post-fire re-ignition hot spots in the same pass
CAPABILITY 04

Two-Way Voice: Listen First, Then Reassure

A sensitive pickup detects groans, shouts and tapping, while stereo noise-cancelling headphones isolate faint sounds at loud collapse sites. Full-duplex intercom then lets the operator speak with the survivor.

  • Push-to-talk from the terminal keypad, no separate handset
  • Noise-cancelling headphones for wind, machinery and crowd noise
  • Ask about injuries and hazards (gas, fire, water) before breaching

CAPABILITY 05

8-Inch 1080P Terminal, Wired by Default

An 8-inch 1920 × 1080 colour LCD with glove-friendly physical keys and 32 GB built-in storage. The rod-to-terminal link stays wired for stability inside steel-and-concrete ruins, where wireless signals drop.

  • One-key photo, long-press video, 2×/4× digital zoom, light dimming
  • Photos and video stored on-device for immediate playback
  • Optional 4G / Wi-Fi modules stream to the command post or a remote PAD
CAPABILITY 06

IP68 Amphibious Probes and 8.6 h Endurance

The Φ27 mm waterproof probe is IP68 rated and verified at 1.1 m water depth for 45 minutes; a stainless underwater probe on the cable reel extends the search into flooded basements and culverts.

  • 20 m detection cable standard on reel; other lengths customizable
  • Rechargeable lithium battery, up to 8.6 h continuous operation
  • 13-piece kit in a foam-fitted hard case, 1300 × 420 × 172 mm

Applications

Where a Through-Gap Search Camera Earns Its Place

Specified for structural-collapse and confined-space missions. The LSJ-C-E is a through-gap detector: it must pass through an existing opening and cannot image through intact concrete or soil.

Probe fed through a narrow gap in collapsed concrete

Earthquake and Structural Collapse

Feed the probe through a crack, drilled hole or existing void to inspect cavities behind broken concrete and beneath slabs — before shoring, breaking or lifting begins.

Underwater probe deployed in a flooded void

Flood, Culvert and Water-Filled Voids

IP68 probes verified at 1.1 m for 45 minutes, plus a stainless underwater probe on the 20 m reel, extend the search into flooded basements, culverts and sludge.

Thermal palette on the terminal screen

Fire Ground and Post-Fire Overhaul

The thermal probe reads to 650°C with firefighting, fire-emergency, detection and overhaul palettes — body heat through smoke, and residual hot spots after knockdown.

Operational Scenario

Slab Void: An Illustrative Deployment

The scenario below illustrates how the detector may be used in a void search. It is not a documented customer case study.

Illustrative slab-void search with the terminal outside the danger zone

Example: Search Beneath a Collapsed Floor Slab

Situation

A collapsed floor leaves a narrow gap beneath a concrete slab. Debris is unstable and there is no safe route for a rescuer to enter, but tapping has been reported from the void.

Potential use

A two-person crew extends the rod, feeds the Φ29 mm probe through the gap and inspects the cavity on the 8-inch screen. The thermal probe is fitted when smoke or dust obscures the visible image, and headphones are used to listen before the intercom is opened. The camera cannot see through intact concrete — the void must be reachable through an existing opening.

Decision support

Findings may inform shoring plans, entry points and medical priorities under the incident commander's procedures. Outcomes depend on void geometry, operator training and supporting equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Procurement and Deployment

Answers to common questions from USAR, fire-service and civil-defence procurement teams. Confirm all commercial and technical terms with the supplier.

Can the LSJ-C-E detect survivors through solid concrete?

No. It is a through-gap detector: the camera must pass through an existing hole, crack, drilled opening or void, and the audio pickup works over a limited range. It cannot image through intact concrete or soil. For detection without an opening, pair it with a radar life detector — radar narrows the search zone, then the pole camera visually confirms and opens voice contact.

How far can it reach, including underwater?

The carbon-fibre rod extends from 1.0 m to 3.6 m with a 30 cm flexible neck, and the detection cable is 20 m standard with other lengths customizable. Waterproof probes are IP68 rated and verified at 1.1 m water depth for 45 minutes; a dedicated underwater probe on the cable reel supports flood and culvert search.

Does it work at night, in smoke, or on the fire ground?

Yes. Optical probes use 10 dimmable high-brightness LEDs (plus fill or infrared lights) for total darkness and dust. The thermal probe operates to 650°C with search-and-rescue, firefighting, fire-emergency, detection, white-hot and black-hot palettes, revealing body heat through smoke and post-fire hot spots.

What is the battery life and operating temperature?

The rechargeable lithium battery delivers up to 8.6 hours of continuous operation and charges via Type-C (dedicated 8.4 V, ≤ 2000 mA charger included). Operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C; storage temperature is -40°C to +70°C. Battery runtime varies with ambient temperature and operating mode.

Can the probe set, cable length or wireless module be customized?

Yes. Probe combinations (rotating A/V, thermal, rotating waterproof, fixed waterproof, snake-eye, underwater), cable length (20 m standard) and the optional 4G / Wi-Fi / remote-PAD package are configured per mission. The complete 13-piece kit travels in one foam-fitted hard case, 1300 × 420 × 172 mm. Share your scenarios and destination to confirm configuration, MOQ, freight and lead time.
