Laboratory-Grade Detection Physics in a Pocket-Size Body
The SEED-RA pairs a thallium-doped caesium iodide (CsI(Tl)) scintillation crystal with a silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) — the detection chain of a laboratory counter, reduced to a body that clips onto a vest. It measures X and gamma dose rate from 0.01 μSv/h to 100 mSv/h, tracks cumulative dose to 9999 mSv, and holds relative intrinsic error within ±15% at the Cs-137 reference.
- CsI(Tl) scintillator + SiPM; energy response from 30 keV to 3 MeV for X and gamma rays
- Energy response error within ±20%, relative intrinsic error within ±15% at Cs-137
- Dose rate 0.01 μSv/h – 100 mSv/h; cumulative dose 0.01 μSv – 9999 mSv
